The very first music video that I made for our Introduction to Film project.
"Inside every one us, there exists a dark side. Most people rise above it, but some are consumed by it.
Until there is nothing left, but pure evil." - Dr. Samuel Loomis (Halloween)
During our midterms for the first semester of our sophomore year our professor asked us to make a music video for any song that we like. During that time I was so hooked with Lana Del Rey's music and videos, as we all know Del Rey's style is inspired by the 1950's and the 1960's, and she loves putting in videos from the past and put it in her music video, so I came up with the same concept and decided to make a "vintage-like" music video full of library shots.
The idea of the music video is to shock the viewers in a very mysterious way. I was really inspired by some classic horror films in terms of its visual creativity, namely, Psycho by Alfred Hitchcock (1960), Begotten by E. Elias Merhige (1990) and some classic music videos that came from the 1940's.
Enjoy this one deadly romance...
I dare you to watch it backwards.
